september mood

Although the first week or two has been really busy in September — and we’ve all experienced that vague sense of panic in being distinctly unprepared for the beginning of the school year — I do enjoy going back to school with new energy. I’ve loved settling into a home with several of my friends. I’ve loved trying to nail down a schedule.

Because I dread winter so much, I’m not particularly excited for the cold to set in but I know I’ll be happy once it does and the leaves start changing. My mood for the next two months will be distinctly autumnal and stereotypical. Aside from that, I’ve been emphasizing lots of wellness and combinations. Pairings rather than items (or photos) standing alone.

And the world we live in will be either better or worse, depending on whether we become better or worse. And that’s where the power of love comes in. Because when we love, we always strive to become better than we are.

Caramel coffee, quiet moments in bed, folk music (as always.) Early to bed, early to rise.

being all together as a class again feels chaotic & good & nighttime is fun when we’re all spilling onto the porches

Aiming for simplicity & forgiving myself for not operating at 100% togetherness all the time.
