april

April is a lot of uncertainty, a lot of c’est la vie. Impulsivity and recklessness and a sudden wide-open map of what the future looks like. Everything has been momentary and a chance to navigate new aspects of my identity while figuring out what the rest of the year looks like. This is the first month in years I haven’t even touched my planner. In contrast to March’s manipulated self-portrait kick, I’m drifting towards minimalist portraits, gritty details, and lots of raw photography. Just trying to capture spontaneous decisions, changes in perspective, and gratitude for the present.

shadows, sidewalk cafes, throwing away itineraries, in-the-moment decisions.
